What are the vestibular rehabilitation exercises?

Cawthrone-Cooksey Exercise: – The aims of the Cawthorne-Cooksey exercises include relaxing the neck and shoulder muscles, training the eyes to move independently of the head, practising good balance in everyday situations, practising the head movements that cause dizziness (to help the development of vestibular compensation), improving general condition.

Brandt-Daroff exercise:

Start in an upright, seated position.

  • Move into the lying position on one side with your nose pointed up at about a 45-degree angle.
  • Remain in this position for about 30 seconds (or until vertigo subsides, whichever is longer). Then move back to the seated position.

          Repeat on the other side.
